Overview

The venue relied mostly on walk-ins and social media for bookings. Marketing budget was spread across several channels, but while they generated traffic and engagement, they weren't consistently bringing in leads or bookings.

The focus was shifted to Google Ads, targeting people actively searching for entertainment options in the area. By concentrating spend on high-intent searches and key locations, paid search became a much more reliable source of bookings. During the reporting period, Google Ads generated 92% of total revenue despite accounting for only around 25% of website sessions.

Performance Dashboard

Source: Google Analytics 4. Google Ads drove a quarter of sessions but the vast majority of conversions and revenue, and visitors engaged far longer than any other channel.

GA4 report: Google Ads drove $12,687.92 (92%) of total revenue and a 17.44% session conversion rate from 1,038 sessions
Google Ads dashboard: $1.51K cost, 89K impressions, 6.95K clicks, $0.22 average CPC

Objectives

  • Capture high-intent demand from people actively searching to book.
  • Lift the session conversion rate well above the site average.
  • Make every dollar traceable to revenue inside GA4.
  • Concentrate budget on the channel proven to convert.

Audience

The target audience was people already planning an outing such as a date night, family activity, birthday, or group event. These users were searching with clear intent using terms like "things to do near me," venue-related keywords, or "book tickets."

The challenge was not about increasing reach but about appearing at the exact moment of intent and making the booking process simple and direct.

Campaign Approach

  • Intent-mapped Search campaigns aligned to how people actually search to book.
  • Performance Max for incremental reach, fed by strong conversion signals.
  • Landing pages and offers tuned to shorten the path from click to booking.
  • GA4 key events wired up so revenue, not clicks, drove every decision.
